  • I step back in time when I visit the Meridain Historical Village. The village has restored 19th century style buildings with many inspiring places to paint. This piece was painted plein air (on-site). I liked the many colors, shapes and contrasts with a group of flowers in front of one of the buildings. It was morning and the sun and shadows were still low in the sky casting an angled shadow on the building. The flower patterns, shadows, and contrasting colors drew me to this scene.
